As I wrap up the expansion and buildout at ARAI STUDIO

I will only be accepting very limited appointments for hair services.

Here is a little bit about me + how ARAI came to be:

In 2014, I was striking out with job applications and put my career in law enforcement on hold.
I decided I wanted to create a life for myself. I did not want to keep waiting for a department or an organization to see my value.
So I applied to beauty school in San Francisco!

I became a starving student again. I worked as a receptionist in multiple salons through out the Bay Area, I assisted multiple colorists and a cutting specialist, I ventured off and worked as a commission stylist and also as an independent contractor. I enjoyed experiencing and learning the various position’s functions and roles within a salon environment.

During my time there I was selected as a recipient for the Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship - which paid half of my tuition! Truly a blessing and confirmation I was on the right path. I have been licensed as a Cosmetologist since 2015.

In 2018, I moved back to Sacramento to take on a job working part time back with law enforcement. Feeling a desire of wanting more for myself and my family, I chose to open a salon suite even if I was only able to operate it part time.

In 2019, I relocated to a larger location in Sacramento where we were able to hold 3 stylist chairs and an esthetician room.
In 2022, we have expanded to 3 barber chairs, a private room with 2 stylist chairs and another private room offering reiki and energy healing services.

My intention in building ARAI has been to create an environment where our team knows they are appreciated, respected and is able experience opportunities I wish I had as an employee and contractor.
