✦ Coaching Agreement & Partnership Guidelines
This Coaching Agreement outlines the nature of our coaching relationship, our mutual responsibilities, and the parameters that will guide our work together. By entering into this partnership, we agree to a co-creative and confidential process designed to support your growth and goals.
1. What Coaching Is (and Is Not)
Coaching is a collaborative process focused on supporting your personal and/or professional growth, clarity, and momentum. It involves asking powerful questions, identifying patterns, creating action plans, and exploring new perspectives. Coaching is not therapy or medical advice and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
You, the client, are seen as whole, resourceful, and capable. My role as your coach is to create a space for insight, reflection, and aligned action.
2. Scope of Coaching Relationship
Coaching includes:
Thought partnership, emotional support, and strategic guidance
Exploration of personal values, strengths, and blocks
Goal setting, accountability, and ongoing reflection
Optional integration of Human Design or other relevant frameworks (if agreed upon)
Coaching does not include:
Emergency crisis support or therapeutic counseling
Telling the client what to do or making decisions on their behalf
Legal, financial, or medical advice
3. Roles & Responsibilities
As the Coach, I commit to:
Holding a confidential and judgment-free space
Showing up on time, prepared, and present
Asking powerful questions and offering reflections to support your process
Respecting your autonomy and pace
As the Client, you agree to:
Take responsibility for your choices, actions, and growth
Show up honestly and openly
Complete practices, reflections, or action steps between sessions (if relevant)
Communicate needs, changes, or challenges clearly
If any third-party stakeholder is involved (e.g., a sponsor, guardian, or employer), they will only be included in alignment with your consent and well-being.
4. Coaching Plan & Measures of Success
Our first session(s) will include co-creating a Coaching Plan which may include:
Overall goals for the coaching engagement
Specific areas of focus (personal, relational, business, etc.)
Success indicators or measures of growth
Tools, practices, or reflection prompts to support progress
We will revisit and refine these goals periodically to ensure alignment and momentum.
6. Compatibility & Partnership
Coaching is most effective when there is mutual trust and resonance. We will assess our compatibility during our initial session. If at any point either party feels the partnership is not a fit, we agree to communicate openly and respectfully explore alternatives.
By continuing with this coaching partnership, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the above terms.
